Profile: Dr. Mukhtar AL-Hashimi is the Dean of the School of Information technology, President Advisor on Academic Affairs and an Associate Professor at the University College of Bahrain. Dr. AL-Hashimi is holding PhD and MSc degrees from the University of Utah; USA since 1992, his experience is a blend of my academic and practical knowledge in developing, overseeing and managing an in-house enterprise comprehensive information system based on customer-focus in the past 12 years for government organization. The modules in which been developed has ranged from medical information modules to human resource, logistics and supply modules. This experiences has enriched the knowledge of development, process reengineering and user usability. Recent research and interests has been focused on e-government, ethics Software Developing and Software Usability, Human Computer Interaction, Medical Informatics and Computing for Health Care, Business Developments and Reengineering. Dr. Al-Hashimi has contributed to numerous scientific activities internationally, regionally and locally beside his many years contribution to both undergraduate and graduate teaching and research activities.
